J Trust Bank customers should always be careful about receiving calls or short messages from someone who claims to be a bank employee and asks for your personal data or information such as an account number, personal identification number (PIN), or password with the reason of to confirm transaction, informing of suspicious transactions, or say you won the lottery.
PLEASE BE ALERT: That J Trust Bank will never ask for a customer's PIN or password for/for any reason.
Asking for personal data or information is an indication of attempted fraud. Not only by telephone but fraud on behalf of banking is often also carried out through social media, namely by creating fake social media accounts and fake websites of the Bank.
For example, some time ago a customer at a bank in Indonesia was contacted by a fraudster and directed to a fake website whose address was similar to the official website, the customer was asked to enter his personal information, then the customer was asked to verify his identity and guided by phone or by WhatsApp of someone impersonating a bank clerk.
By entering account numbers, PIN, or other personal information on fake sites, can cause losses such as stealing of personal data and illegally withdraw/money transfer/accounts access belonging to customers.
