Jakarta, July 25-26, 2022 – J Trust Bank believes that MSMEs will bounce back even though the Covid-19 pandemic has not fully recovered. The decline in the number of MSMEs and their contribution to Indonesia's GDP during the pandemic was caused by several problems such as changes in consumption patterns of goods and services from offline to online, social restrictions, and barriers to raw materials and product distribution.
The government has responsively launched the Digital Technology 4.0 Adoption Program for MSMEs. Through this program, the government optimizes the potential and productivity of MSMEs through digitalization. In line with the government's efforts, J Trust Bank in collaboration with the South Jakarta City Administration held an Integrated Entrepreneurship Development Collaborative Training accompanied by Financial Literacy as an effort to optimize support for MSME actors.
On this occasion, (Plt) Deputy Mayor of South Jakarta Administration, Ali Murtadho S.Sos,. M.Si attended and opened the training for 55 female business participants held by J Trust Bank. In his speech he said that MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy which has been proven resilient through several recessions. He believes, with the post-pandemic situation and conditions that are increasingly well managed and collaboration from many parties such as J Trust Bank, it will be a leverage for the rise of MSMEs in Indonesia.
J Trust Bank continues to encourage women entrepreneurs who are engaged in sewing to be creative with easily available raw materials such as fabric scraps and packaging. Both of these wastes can be processed to become products of economic value. These skills are expected not only to help the family's economy but also to have a positive impact on the environment, namely reducing waste.
