Jakarta, November 26, 2024 – PT Bank JTrust Indonesia Tbk (J Trust Bank) headquartered in Central Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta Province, President Director Ritsuo Fukadai received equity capital from Kagawa Bank, Ltd. (Kagawa Bank) headquartered in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan with President Director Michio Yamada.
In Japan, the major problems faced by regional companies such as shrinking local economies due to population decline, labor shortages due to declining birthrates and aging populations, and disparities between rural and urban areas are predicted to cause small and medium-sized enterprises located in the regions to increasingly seek new solutions to overcome labor shortages by sourcing them from overseas.
Previously, on June 12, 2024, J Trust Bank and Kagawa Bank signed a business cooperation agreement to assist business activities of businesses that will expand overseas, such as assistance in securing foreign human resources for clients (foreign workers with special skills who are Indonesian citizens, etc.), assistance in overseas expansion (opening overseas branches, opening sales channels, etc.), business-matching in Indonesia, and so on. This equity capital will further strengthen cooperative relations and accelerate efforts to solve regional problems and revitalize the regional economy in Japan.
J Trust Bank currently has 46 branch offices in major cities in Indonesia and actively supports business activities in Indonesia, including business matching between Japanese and local companies, by utilizing a network that covers more than 90% of Indonesia.
The strength of J Trust Bank as a Japanese bank is expected to be able to become a forum that accommodates and provides solutions to the problems faced by regional companies in Japan.
J Trust Bank continues to build cooperation and business relationships with regional banks in Japan. In the future, J Trust Bank will actively accept equity capital from Japanese regional banks and other financial institutions to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and contribute to regional development in Japan and economic development in Indonesia.
